Made only in exceptional years, L'Ermitage is made in the traditional French method and adds special oak-aged reserve wines to each blend. Made with juice just from the cuvée pressing; no premiere or deuxieme taille is used. This will produce exceptional wine that creates a "noble" blend that allows for longer aging. Four members of the blending team include winemakers from Louis Roederer in France and Roederer Estate in California. Fine tiny bubbles and a long lasting mousse are the usual footprints of L'Ermitage. This cuvée is showing a great note of apricot tart and hazelnut. The mouth feel is very smooth, velvety, and creamy with a well enveloped citrus acidity. A long finish cleanses the palate and it is very refreshing.
